Tactics and Impacts: Analyzing Social Engineering
Fifteen items. You will name the psychological tactic an adversary used, then classify what the victim actually gave up. These are the two things Topic 1.1 asks you to do.
What this exercise covers. Topic 1.1 names exactly two psychological tactics, intimidation and urgency, and three victim impacts: personal information, secure information such as a one-time code, and malware or credential capture.

Part 1. Which tactic is at work?
Intimidation threatens a negative consequence. Urgency imposes a deadline that prevents careful thinking. A message can use both, or neither. Read for the mechanism, not the tone.
Part 2. What did the victim give up?
Classify the impact by category. The channel does not matter. What matters is what the adversary walked away with.
Part 3. Exam-style analysis

Why no attack-type sorting here. An earlier version of this exercise asked you to sort scenarios into phishing, spear phishing, vishing, smishing, pretexting, baiting, whaling, and quid pro quo. Six of those eight terms are not part of this course at all, and pretexting belongs to Topic 2.1, not 1.1. What Topic 1.1 asks for is the tactic and the impact. That is what you practice above.
