Built for the way homeschoolers actually work

AP Cybersecurity is the College Board's newest AP, and homeschoolers can get in on the ground floor. It's engaging and career-relevant, needs no prior coding, and runs entirely in the browser. The course does the teaching across all five units; you set the pace and watch progress on your dashboard.

A brand-new AP — first exam May 2027

AP Cybersecurity is the College Board's newest AP course, launching for 2026–27 with its first exam in May 2027. Getting in early is an advantage: fewer prep resources exist, and this is a complete, CED-aligned course built by a practicing AP teacher. The exam is fully digital (Bluebook) — 60 multiple-choice questions (70%) and one free-response device-analysis task (30%).

What you can see & do as the parent

Is my student keeping up? Your dashboard shows whether they've done the daily Question of the Day and their lesson practice, with scores per lesson.
Did they actually master it? Set a mastery threshold. When a quiz or exam comes back below it, grant a retry so they re-attempt and close the gap instead of moving on.
Where should we spend more time? The per-lesson view shows what's solid and what needs another pass — so your at-home time goes where it matters.

Common questions from homeschool parents

Is AP Cybersecurity a real AP course?
Yes — it's the College Board's newest AP, launching for 2026–27 with its first exam in May 2027. This course is fully aligned to the official framework.
Do homeschool parents really use the teacher account?
Yes. A parent guiding one student uses the same tools a classroom teacher does, just with a class of one — and it's free.
Will it tell me if my student did the daily practice?
Yes. The dashboard shows Question-of-the-Day and lesson-practice completion and scores, so you always know whether the work is getting done.
Can I reassign a quiz if the score shows it wasn't mastered?
Yes. You set a mastery threshold and can grant a retry so your student re-attempts rather than moving on with a gap.
Does my student need prior experience or special software?
No prior coding needed, and everything runs in the browser. The real exam is taken in the College Board's Bluebook app at a school test site.
Do the lessons have video?
Lessons are primarily written explanations with real-world scenarios and interactive practice, and short concept videos are being added.
What does it cost?
The lessons, practice, study guides, and parent dashboard are free. Optional paid add-ons include an ad-free experience, exam-prep boosters, and 1-on-1 tutoring.
